UTILA
Aboard the Aggressor
November 21-28, 2009

We want to thank the entire crew aboard the Utila Aggressor - Capt. Eddy, Chef Marna, Candy, Kris, Nestor "Vido" and Sasha - for a most memorable Thanksgiving trip, and for taking care of our group - Ken, Craig, Shawna, Randy, Virginia, Joe, Jimmy, Laura, Robin, Rob, Charlie, and of course we can't leave out Virginia from New York who joined our group!

We have been on all the Aggressors located in the Caribbean two or three times each, the Palau Aggressor once, Okeanos Aggressor at Cocos Island once, and Galapagos Aggressor twice. But out of all the Aggressors, I must say that the Utila Aggressor crew was the best! The level of service was beyond compare. All of the crew bent over backwards to make sure our group was taken care of. They are the best!!!

... THE AREA ... we dove Utila, Roatan and Cayos Cochinos, a Marine Biological Reserve located off the mountainous, northern coast of Honduras ....

... VISIBILITY ... great ....

... CURRENTS ... none!

... FOOD ... oh my goodness, everything was so good ... no one went hungry!

... DIVING ... in lieu of rain, a few choppy seas, Captain Eddy and his crew managed to show us the best diving that was available under all conditions ....

... WHAT WE SAW ... numerous Seahorses (even a Pink one!) ... Sharks (a Shark dive like no other - no feeding, just hanging out and letting the Sharks swim between us) ... Fingerprint Tongues (pretty rare - I've only seen a few in over 20 years of diving!) ... huge Grouper ... Turtles ... Morays ... the walls and reefs were healthy with Seafans, Gorgonians, Black Coral ... and much, much more ....

... GOING BACK ... definitely! It was that good!

Until next time ....

S. Scott
